Contact Studies

Contact studies are intended for both applicants with completed university studies and applicants who have acquired the professional qualifications required for participation or in some other way.

Contact studies serve to deepen the artistic or musicological knowledge and supplement practical professional experience. In particular, it should:

  • Adapt specialist knowledge to the latest artistic or musicological developments,
  • Expand insights over the interrelationships of the subject,
  • Further develop and support the ability to practice art,
  • To hold and deepen the ability to evaluate musicological methods and knowledge,
  • Impart specialist knowledge in certain areas.

The Trossingen University of Music offers contact studies in basically three focuses:

Contact studies are offered within free capacities. It doesn't serve as preparation for a future entrance audition/examination.  

Upon completion of the contact studies, the Trossingen University of Music issues a corresponding certificate. For artistic contact studies, the certificate bears the name of the major as well as the instructor. For the artistic-pedagogical and musicological contact studies, it bears a list and description of the successfully completed courses.
