Four Lines for Article 3
…is a cooperative project between the City of Mannheim (Equality Area) and the Music Design program. In the course of the project the participants will produce various musical-medial concepts which deal with the context of equality between women and men.
Under the motto, "What do you say, sing, rap, whisper, mumble or shout about topics like gender equality, role-specific behavior patterns, privilege, patriarchy, PayGap or MeToo?” the project team offered participation in a participatory piece of music. Over 30 people participated in the hands-on activities in May 2022 in Trossingen and in November 2022 in Mannheim. This resulted in 25 song snippets in the discourse on equality: with personal experiences, meetings, and opinions. A common refrain is the connective element of all contributions:
„Wie war das mit Artikel drei?
Fühlst du dich in deiner Rolle wirklich frei?
Ey zum Glück sind wir nicht alle gleich.
Doch ein Gleichgewicht wär‘ langsam an der Zeit.“.
